The Albert Group is committed to sustainable business, an evolving work environment and contributing to society by creating quality and democratised education. We aim to be a leading player in the digital education services market and our products help make education more fun and accessible for all children through comprehensive curriculum-aligned tools and services.

A sustainable business

At the Albert Group, we recognise sustainability as an integral part of our business strategy and as crucial to our success as a company. The company's sustainability focus lies in five different areas: People, Society, Diversity, Services and Environment. The UN 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals show the way to a better and more sustainable future for all. The Albert Group is committed to making a real difference towards a sustainable future and is working with other relevant actors such as organisations, educational institutions and the public.

Our Sustainability areas

Our priority field consists of five main themes, designed to maximise our positive impact on society and to minimise our environmental footprint.

One of our four core values within the Albert Group is that our strength lies in our differences. We have a strong belief in diversity and that each individual should be allowed to be fully themselves. We welcome everyone just as they are. We see diversity as an opportunity. By striving for diversity in all dimensions of difference and experience we can capitalise on the strengths that a diverse employee group offers.

We are convinced that as a company characterised by diversity and inclusion inclusiveness, stimulates innovation and leads to to a better development of the company and its vision. Within the group, more than 20 languages are spoken, by more than 17 nations.

The Albert Group strives to be a fair and attractive employer. We believe that committed and competent employees are crucial to our success and therefore we place great emphasis on creating a good working environment that supports both the professional and personal development of our employees. The decisions and actions of our employees drive our business forward. If we fail to recruit, develop and retain employees with the right skills, we risk the company underperforming.

The Albert Group's mission is to help every child reach their full potential by making learning fun and personalised. Education is a fundamental human right and research shows that inclusive, quality education for all is one of the most important foundations for prosperity, health and equality in any society. The Albert Group's reason for being is to achieve the goal of quality education for all by offering the Group's products and services at a price that enables the broad masses to use the products, thereby democratising good education.

In the Albert Group we value the experiences and opinions of children, young people, teachers and parents experiences and opinions about our products by including them in our product development. We do this by, testing our apps with children, visiting schools, interviewing teachers and parents, diary studies and sending out surveys. It is important to us that those who use our apps have a chance to influence the experience and development. It also gives us the opportunity to be inspired by children's curiosity and interest in learning new things. In our user studies, we have, among other things gained greater insight into how much children appreciate the characters in our apps and how they work as a way for children to express their learning in words.

In 2023, the Albert Group acquired Strawbees, a company that manufactures and sells physical products in the form of creative construction kits with straws, connectors and electronic robot kits. In this part of the business there is an environmental impact from the production and transport products. Strawbees actively works with the principles of reducing the amount of materials used, that the products be reused as much as possible and that they are easy to recycle at the end of the product's lifetime. The Albert Group's other products are produced, marketed and consumed for the most part digitally, which has a very low impact on the environment.

Business model and sustainability risk management

The Albert Group's operations are divided into two distinct business areas, consumer business (B2C) and business to schools (B2B). The two business areas have different sustainability impacts and risks in the business, and we take responsibility based on the risks that exist in the different areas. The Albert Group also works continuously towards sustainable operations through the implementation of a sustainability policy and other governance documents.
